Strategic Discovery Counsel was created by company founder Jessica Averitt.

Jessica is a former partner with many years of practice at a Chambers Global recognized International law firm.   She has extensive experience advising clients in the health, automotive, technology, communications, financial institution, and hospitality industries regarding the ever-changing worlds of complex eDiscovery, cybersecurity and data governance; incident response and crisis management; strategic business planning and complex investigation/litigation tactics.

Jessica is passionate about helping clients tackle the growing tsunami of data.  She created SDC to provide innovative and affordable approaches to discovery, investigations, and cyber events.

Relevant Experience:

● As National eDiscovery counsel, assisted large telecommunications company in creating complex eDiscovery and litigation readiness program from the ground up

● Managed discovery in response to multiple DOJ civil investigative demands, FCC Letters of Inquiry, DOJ Second Requests and large complex litigation matters

● Counseled a large domestic oil and gas company in connection with civil investigations into hydraulic fracturing by US Congress and federal and state agencies

● Led large scale digital analysis projects for telecommunications, financial institutions, automotive, railroad and energy industries

● Advised clients on emerging trends in strategic litigation discovery, cyber discovery, data privacy, cross border data transfer, and information governance
